Cal Moriarty is a multi award-winning writer-director, novelist and producer. Cal’s debut novel, The Killing of Bobbi Lomax, was an FT Crime Novel of the Year and was compared to the work of Elmore Leonard, Stephen King, Don Winslow and Bill Beverly. Great company to be in!

Cal’s screenwriter-director debut, the short Talk, showed at over 20 International Film Festivals and garnered many awards. ShortsHD picked the film up for international distribution and it has appeared thousands of times on US and International TV.

Over the years, Cal has developed many feature films with emerging writers, many of whose films have been optioned/produced, some by Hollywood names. For many years Cal ran a monthly screenwriters workshop for new writers at BAFTA. Today, as well as continuing to develop screenplays with writers, Cal teaches screenwriting to some of Britain’s best selling novelists.

Cal’s feature film, Burn Everything, was mentored in the Writers Lab and the Directors Lab of Moonstone (the UK sister of Sundance) and, more recently, with the Blacklist Labs with whom it is currently being developed.
